Being a traveler means to be always on the go – exploring places, seeing and smelling things among others. But when I was in General Santos city, I just stayed put! Holed up in a hotel! It was a staycation! I can’t blame myself, the hotel is very homey and snugly.

At the M Loft hotel, I can’t help it but just lie on the bed with the A/C on watching the flat screen T.V. Or when I get bored, I browse the internet with the hotel’s free wi-fi. Every morning, I enjoy showering under their over-sized rain shower and drying off with their comfortable micro fibre towel – felt like I was drying off with a teddy bear. So comfy!

The place has a business-like ambiance, but alluring.

The hotel is not that expensive, though it does look like it. I would categorize this hotel as value for money. For only Php1,350.00, you could have a huge bed for yourself plus the great amenities. If there are two of you, you can go for the twin-bed room which is only Php1,500.00. That’s Php750.00 per head!

The place is a bit far from the town’s center. Though not as far as flying to Toronto and back, it takes about 20 minutes to get there from Robinson’s. You can take a tricycle and tell the driver to get you to “Heights” or “Block 8″. If you get lost, use the time tested traveler’s secret: ask from a local.

After you get there, don’t get tempted to just hole up! Explore GenSan!
